Reaching Edmonton casinos indoors

Grand Villa Casino Edmonton, at 10204 104 Avenue NW, is tied into the downtown pedway. Ford Hall spans 104 Avenue and links that pedway system to Rogers Place, the casino and MacEwan LRT station. Outside event hours, the hall is open to the public. The casino can also be reached through the LRT corridor from MacEwan station. Rogers Place, where the Edmonton Oilers play, has its 104 Avenue lobby beside the casino.

MacEwan is a Metro Line stop on 105 Avenue, between 103 and 104 Street. It opened on September 6, 2015, and is accessible.

Drivers have a covered option as well. Free heated underground parking at P1 is for Grand Villa casino customers, entered from 102 Street. That applies on non-event days only. On event days, there is no free parking.

Starlight Casino Edmonton is inside West Edmonton Mall, on Level 2, next to the ice rink and Zara. A visitor already in the mall reaches it without going outdoors. Fantasyland Hotel is also inside the mall, with an indoor connection, so a room for the night sits within the same building. For those arriving from the street, the casino has its own door at Entrance 9, on 90 Avenue between 170 Street and 178 Street.

Transit is the outdoor part. West Edmonton Mall Transit Centre runs from a temporary spot on 90 Avenue, beside West Edmonton Mall Inn, which stands across the street. There is no LRT to the mall yet.

At Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton, cover starts in the car. Besides 600 surface spaces, there is a complimentary heated underground garage with 300 more. No ETS bus or LRT reaches River Cree Resort & Casino. Instead, the resort runs a free shuttle to and from West Edmonton Mall every 30 minutes. The schedule is not online; the Casino Players Club gives times at 780-930-2562.

Reaching Century Mile Racetrack & Casino means the Capital Line LRT to Century Park, then ETS Route 747 to the airport terminal. Route 747 runs about 4:10 am to 12:30 am, every 30 to 60 minutes. For the last leg, a free on-demand On-Airport Transit shuttle covers Airport City at 780-890-8983; its hours are not published.

ETS route 504 serves PURE Casino Edmonton and route 905 serves PURE Casino Yellowhead, both stopping about 300-350 m away. Daytime 905 trips run about every 30 minutes; evening and weekend service should be checked with ETS. Century Casino St. Albert is reached by St. Albert Transit Route 201, from MacEwan to Nakî Transit Centre. Nakî Transit Centre sits about 2.6 km from the casino in a straight line. On Sundays the last trip leaves MacEwan at 7:20 pm.

From West Edmonton Mall, Route 2 Clareview Owl trips leave about every 30 minutes, from about 12:30 am to 2:30 am. They depart from the temporary transit centre spot on 90 Avenue. Overnight route 002 Owl leaves Belvedere, the nearest LRT stop to Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton, about every 30 minutes after midnight. The last trip toward West Edmonton Mall goes around 2:40 a.m., and toward Clareview around 3:20 a.m.

Route 747 to and from the airport runs until about 12:30 am. Near PURE Casino Edmonton, route 504 has no late-night service; its last weekday trip leaves Davies at 9:17pm.
