River Cree, beyond the gaming floor

Past the main entrance sits The Venue, a concert and event hall for up to 2,500 people depending on setup. All shows there are 18+. Smaller rooms fill out the event side. The Enoch Grand Ballroom and the River Cree Ballroom each take 100+ guests, the Strongwoods Room takes 50+, and the Chief's Boardroom seats 16.

On site there is a full-service hotel with 249 guest rooms, 11 of them luxury suites. It also has a pool, a whirlpool and a fitness centre.

Since July 29, 2024, minors may use the non-gaming areas when an adult is with them. That covers restaurants, rinks and community events in The Venue. Gaming areas stay closed to them, and shows remain 18+.

Cree Subs sells sandwiches, hot dogs and tacos in a bag daily, 11 am to 5 am. Fatburger serves burgers, fries and shakes from 12 pm to 4 am. Tap 25 Sports Bar serves food from 5 am to 1 am. River Cree Eats sells meals to go, 5:30 pm to midnight, Thursday to Sunday and on show nights.

Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen, Canada's first, serves daily 4 pm to 11 pm. The Kitchen Restaurant offers all-day dining Monday to Thursday 11 am to 10 pm, and Sunday 4 pm to 10 pm. On Friday and Saturday a buffet runs 4 pm to 10 pm. A breakfast buffet follows on Saturday and Sunday, 7 am to 2 pm. Centre Bar on the floor and Onyx in the smoke-friendly Embers area are 18+ and open until 2 am.

Casino and slots are open 24 hours daily, and table games run 11 am to 3 am. Holiday hours should be checked on the venue's own site. Alberta's gambling age is 18, and staff check government-issued photo ID for anyone who appears under 25.

Enoch Cree Nation is the sole owner of River Cree Resort & Casino, which opened in 2006. Like every Alberta casino, it has GameSense Advisors and an info centre. The Addiction Helpline at 1-866-332-2322 is free, confidential and open 24/7.

No ETS bus or LRT reaches River Cree, which sits at 300 East Lapotac Blvd in Enoch, directly west of Edmonton. Parking and valet are both free for casino guests. Valet runs daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. The main line is 780-484-2121.

Starlight Casino Edmonton, inside West Edmonton Mall, is 5.2 km away in a straight line. That figure says nothing about travel time. River Cree lies 14.2 km from Sir Winston Churchill Square, measured the same way.
