Century Mile Racetrack & Casino stands at 4711 Airport Perimeter Road by Edmonton International Airport, 25.9 km from Sir Winston Churchill Square in a straight line. Behind this door, past the casino, lies a racetrack.
A mile of track
The track is a full mile around. Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing runs roughly May to September, and Standardbred racing takes over in fall and winter. Live racing runs more than 35 weeks a year.
Race days carry free admission and free parking, and all ages are welcome. A race day has 8 to 10 races over 3 to 4 hours. Outdoor apron seating is first-come, first-served. The grandstands are not wheelchair accessible. Off-track betting and all forms of pari-mutuel wagering are offered, with horse racing to bet on every day of the week.
Two dining rooms
The Derby Restaurant sits inside the casino and is 18+. It opens daily from 9:30 am to 11 pm. On Friday and Saturday its lounge stays open until 1 am, the one listing at Century Mile that runs past 11 pm.
Up on the second level, The Finish Line Restaurant has tiered seating over the track and a buffet. It opens on live racing days only. Reservations open on the Monday before each race day, so a table can be planned around the racing calendar.

The gaming floor
Over 600 slot machines and VLTs fill the floor. Table games are electronic: roulette, baccarat and blackjack, in the Replay Arena. There are no live tables. The doors open at 9:30 am daily and close at 3 am Sunday to Thursday, and at 4 am on Friday and Saturday. Holiday hours should be checked on the venue's own site.
Century Mile opened to the public on April 1, 2019, and the Canadian Derby moved here from Northlands Park the same year.
Getting there and staying over
Reaching the track without a car is a chain of connections. The Capital Line LRT runs to Century Park, where ETS Route 747 continues to the airport terminal. Route 747 runs about 4:10 am to 12:30 am, every 30 to 60 minutes. For the last leg, the airport's free on-demand On-Airport Transit shuttle covers anywhere in Airport City. Riders request it at 780-890-8983, and its operating hours are not published.
Century Mile itself has no hotel on site. In Airport City, the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel connects to the airport terminal by a heated indoor pedway. The Fairfield by Marriott has 135 rooms.

Can children come to Century Mile on race day?
Race days welcome all ages, with free admission and free parking. The gaming floor is different: the legal gambling age in Alberta is 18, and staff check government-issued photo ID for anyone who appears to be under 25.
Is there a blackjack table with a live dealer?
Century Mile has no live tables. Blackjack is played on electronic tables in the Replay Arena, alongside roulette and baccarat.
